Isagenix Legacy Foundation Accepting Grant Applications From U.S. Nonprofits

GILBERT, Ariz. (March 15, 2019) — The Isagenix Legacy Foundation is now accepting grant applications from U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Applicants should align with the foundation’s mission and focus areas: healthy nutrition and support for underserved children, wellness education for all, and aid for those affected by natural disasters. Nonprofits can apply online, and the application deadline is April 30.

The Isagenix Legacy Foundation expects to award single-year or multiyear grants in amounts of up to $250,000 per year. Recipients will be notified in July and announced at the Isagenix Global Celebration 2019 event in August in Nashville, Tennessee. The foundation awarded its first round of grants, totaling $665,400, to 16 U.S.-based nonprofits in January.

“We look forward to hearing from nonprofits who share the foundation’s passion for providing the basic needs of every child, person, and family,” said Isagenix Chief Executive Officer Travis Ogden. “Based on our first round of grant applications, we expect many outstanding candidates to consider as partners in our mission to leave a legacy in communities around the world.”

Foundation Overview

Isagenix launched the Isagenix Legacy Foundation in August 2018 at its Global Celebration event in Nashville, Tennessee. During its first 24 hours of fundraising, the foundation raised $2.3 million thanks to the generosity of the company’s independent distributors, customers, and employees and a matching pledge from Isagenix Co-Founders Jim and Kathy Coover. While onstage at Global Celebration, the Coovers pledged to match every dollar raised for the foundation during the first day of fundraising up to $1 million.

While the first two rounds of grants are being awarded to U.S.-based nonprofits, the foundation is registering in Canada and expects to begin accepting applications from Canadian nonprofits later this year. It anticipates registering in other markets in which Isagenix operates over the next few years.
